I would rather be where people are not...
This is an attempt to showcase all the things that I admire...from
The English Cricket team to Wuthering Heights, From Dev Anand to Richard Gere and ya...Shahrukh Khan to Zara hayat khan
..Geoffrey boycott, Ron Weasly, Ireland, Delhi and Dresden.
My biggest passion is in vivo computing
and Alzheimer's disease research. I am in Germany for more than two years now. After completing my Bachelor's in Computer Engineering from Delhi,
i came to Tech. Uni. of Dresden for my master's in Molecular Bioengineering. There i started working on something called
in vivo computing, wherein I tried to make/emulate computer circuits within living bacteria. After completing my course in
October 2006, I joined a Biocomputing group at a place called Saarbruecken, in Germany. Here i am working on protein 3D structure prediction. For more
info, look at the link below.
I am a Philatelist (I collect stamps). I like reading Harry
potter, Stephen King and Sherlock Holmes..Usually I read the lesser known writers. Currently reading, The good German,
The dark room and Mein Kampf.
Before coming to Saarbruecken, I lived in Dresden, it a wonderful town, a perfect blend of technology and tradition. Completely
destroyed in WW2 by the allied forces, Dresden is being rebuilt brick by brick.
Its the most beautiful city that i have seen in my whole life.
Every single street is a masterpiece and the people are so kind. Just go and take a stroll in the Grosser Garten, walk on
the banks of the Elbe, visit the beautiful churches, spend the night out at Neustadt, get lost in the nature just round the
corner or be alone at the Ostragehege.
The main attractions are: Zwinger castle, Semper opera, Frauenkirche, KreuzKirche, VW factory, AMD, Siemens, Infenion, TU Dresden, The Elbe, etc.
